Cherrybank Dental Spa, Edinburgh, more specifically Nik and his team not only gave me a superb smile but a whole load more e.g. confidence that had been severely lacking prior to me contacting Cherrybank. I felt instantly at ease with all staff members and was guided, fully, with each of the options available to me. These options were backed up in paper copy and I was able to look over these, at leisure, within my own home. There was no pressure from anyone, and I was able to make my own decision. However, on saying that if I did have any questions, I always felt comfortable enough to call Cherrybank and get advice etc.

I chose to have a Full Arch Removable Implant Supported Bridge. Once I had made my decision it was all go and my treatment begun. As soon as I met with Nik, my oral implant surgeon specialist, he immediately gave me the confidence to proceed. To let you understand I am 73 and as such was a tad nervous however Nik allayed all my preconceived fears. He and his team really do know their products.

On the day of my dental implant surgery, I was extremely nervous however Nik came out into the waiting room and took the time to explain the surgery technique and the aftereffects. Nik does fully explain the good, the bad and the ugly. Post operation my face was swollen, then bruising appeared as Nik said it would. There is naturally going to be discomfort however this is controlled by paracetamol and ibuprofen. By the third morning I did not require any further medication.

Nik was always available by phone if needed, even out of hours, and he continued to see me on a regular basis checking on the progress of the dental implants. Had a dental emergency last week and own dentist were unable to help with pain relief. Carried out a google search and CHERRYBANK came up. Called them and explained circumstances. Emergency appointment arranged for following day, attended and was treated with courtesy, respect and empathy. I can't recommend this practice enough. I'm phobic of dentistry- for good reasons. However, the whole team and environment put me at ease. My dentist Chris had an almost miraculous ability to inspire total confidence in him. I really appreciated being treated without judgement, total respect and a bit of well placed humour! I need a lot of work doing. All my options were explained very clearly, the prices laid out, and I can see a bright light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not easy to win over, being an ex-nurse. Operationally in terms of appointments, reminders etc but most importantly in respect of the treatment itself from treatment plan to completing the work. I came to Tammy firstly to get a consultation, I had been to a couple other places too, but this was the only meeting I had where I didn’t feel pressured into other treatments. I had expressed that I wanted to keep costs down & wasn’t prepared to commit to Invisalign and Tammy straight away took this on board. She was open about all treatment routes I could go down but the main thing is I wasn’t pushed into anything or felt I was being sold something!Again this was the same when I met Dr Umair, I knew my teeth could benefit from straightening but he heard what I wanted and focused my treatment plan on that. I ended up with whitening, a small bit of gum contouring and composite bonding. Dr Umair comes across really professional and knows exactly what he’s doing so you know your teeth are in good hands. During all my appointments his calm nature kept me calm, I’m not a nervous patient but it had been a while so I was apprehensive! Grainne is also so friendly and super calming, she’d have a nice wee chat with me before & after which calmed my nerves. What a team! I also had the fear to get my impressions for my guard/whitening tray which I told Dr Umair about, somehow he made this feel like nothing and kept me relaxed.My results speak for themselves too, compared to what you can get done to your teeth I didn’t get too much done but it’s an unreal transformation. I wanted my teeth to look more uniform and get rid of the gaps I had, whilst still looking natural and got exactly that. I absolutely love the work that’s been done to my teeth - my confidence in my smile is so much better now!read more
